About The Role

As Head of Clinical Workforce Planning you will be responsible for improving & innovating our processes in terms of how we onboard clinicians to work on all aspects of our platform. You will develop a strong network with agencies and third parties to ensure that we have a robust contingency for our doctor supply chain
 
In this role you will:
  • Establish & understand all types of clinicians in terms of how we can successfully and safely use them on the platform to benefit our partners
  • Assist with the introduction and evaluation of our salaried GP’s
  • Ensure clinicians are efficient and safe in accordance with our financial models to ensure profitability
  • Manage our teams & develop our people in terms of all aspects of scheduling & onboarding clinicians
  • Ensure that forecasting methods and utilisation rates are market-leading, ensuring understanding of all potential methods for improvement
  • Ensure and be fully accountable for the provision of the suitable supply of clinicians to work upon the platform at any one point
  • Ensure collaboration with our Sales & Relationship teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of the forecasting and budgeting to ensure adequate future-proofing of the business
  • Ensure that the platform workforce are compliant in terms of our requirements to work upon our platform and work closely with our Governance team in this regard
  • Provide & develop a healthy working relationship with our platform clinicians
  • Collaborate with our Head of Patient Experience and Relationship & Integration Manager to provide a senior management support to the Director of Operations
  • Manage Attendance, Lateness and Performance within the team.
  • Maintain and evaluate our rate of pay to our clinicians to ensure that our cost of service remains at the appropriate level
  • Identify gaps within the team and provide business cases for recruitment as and where required with understanding of what can be automated/managed without additional resource
  • Through collaboration with our product teams, ensure that our clinicians are set up to succeed
  • Represent the area when appropriate at internal meetings within the business
  • Own relevant projects regarding Operational performance and how this can be improved throughout
  • Closely work with medical teams to reduce any inefficiency from our platform clinicians and reduce any unnecessary time spent in consultations

About You

Key skills and past experience should include

  • 3+ years experience in a senior position regarding workforce management (preferably in a healthcare/healthtech business)

  • Experience with workforce management systems and software (desirable with some transformation experience) 

  • Excellent Communicator 

  • Experience of working in a highly compliant & regulated environment 

  • Good understanding of financial modelling & commerciality

  • 2+ years of management experience of a team of four or more individuals

  • Excellent ability on all usual software programmes (Powerpoint/Excel/Word etc) 

  • Able to demonstrate analytical skills and ability to drill into multiple data sources


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working in workforce supply in Healthcare/NHS

  • Knowledge of the NHS systems/processes 

  • Understanding of Healthtech/Digital based systems
